Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction

Eurogamer : 7/10

Where once players were free to tackle Splinter Cell's enemies in myriad, improvised ways, now the options are more limited, traded for an upped tempo that's more Arkham Asylum than Metal Gear. At its best, Conviction is played as a high-stakes puzzle game, taut and thrilling when everything is going your way. But when cover is broken, the floodlights go up to reveal a mediocre shooter. Perhaps the greatest irony of all is that Splinter Cell: Conviction appears brightest in the dark.

Avg. reviews almost everywhere  , UBI should had left the SP intact , the way it was in the last 4 SC games.

I don't know but except Assassin's Creed every almost every other UBI franchise is going downhill be it Splinter Cell or Prince of Persia. :)

The thing is, you need to look at this game as the first of a new franchise, ala Assassins Creed 1.

Then things make sense.

They will make a better sequel, just like they did with AC 2.

Oh wait. You forgot about the AC MP mode . But remember the franchise was promising but the 1st game wasn't that good.

Ubi is doing quite OK with PoP, the new PoP seems coming out well, but SC :'(, just to appeal non-stealthy audience they are doing bhaji-palla of it.
