theneurotoxin Posted June 6, 2010 Report Share Posted June 6, 2010 ^Even I'm having the same problem,after the client searches for new updates it goes to a loading screen and the program stops responding.Initially I thought it was something to do with my net connection but that is not the case as I haven't faced any problems while browsing or downloading. I don't know what their revenue model is, but I certainly wouldn't subscribe to this. peace it will be free to play. they will sell that currency you earn in the game for real money (it's on the top bar of the ui). that is used to purchase cars and upgrades and powerups in the game. currently, you can just earn them from doing races and stuff, but i imagine a few months down the line they will lower your earnings massively so that buying it is the only viable option unless you want to grind forever. this is almost exactly what they did with battlefield heroes. Theyve been outclassed by games like Grid, Pure, Burnout, Split Second, Blur, and MCLA. They need to reboot the franchise. Shift doesn't count coz that pretty much alienated the Most Wanted/Underground audience. No one is gonna pay for a Most Wanted MMO. It's not even an MMO, if you think about it. When you say racing MMO, it should be scores of cars, may be even hundreds, racing on a massive map trying to be the first the finish line - Burnout Paradise meets Canonball/Gumball. This is just a bunch of people randomly driving around a map. When you do enter a race its just like any other 8-player lapped race with the rest of the map cut off. Like any other games.peace yea the mmo part is only active for free roaming, which is quite pointless. races are instanced for the 8 people who are in it, and if you get into a cop chase then it is totally client side, which means you literally disappear from the persistent world and it becomes single player. when you have evaded the cops or you get busted by them, you respawn in the game world at the location where it ended. in any case, it's hard to criticize a free game too much. it might not appeal to us but i'm sure there will be people who like it. good for them i say.
