But, 'Codename' refers to the display in the HUD of a character, which is "VRGL' for the engineer. So if this works out I would be the winner,I guess. It is not a different thing altogether. It is used in the hud as vrgl probably because other character names that appear are also 4 letters (buck, dare). But like you said it appears only in the Hud. So if one has to talk about the engineer we can't just say vrgl. - If I was the one who had written VRGL .. someone else who might have written virgil surely must have objected that I have used an abbreviation instead of the full name. - So I think the only thing which would have most certainly secured a right answer without any objections would have been if someone had written: virgil or vrgl both. But since no one did that, and my answer refers to the correct and same thing, i guess it should be OK. If going by wikia (which is maintained by common users), it also says: http://halofanon.wikia.com/wiki/CODENAME:_VERGIL So like I said, if someone really had to secure the right answer without any objection .. it would only have been possible if s/he had written both Vrgl and Virgil.
