THE DIRECTOR
its gonna get a little warm, even being in a hotter climate, its still hasn't got any issue (well any that i heard about) max time i left my ps3 on for is like 10 hours. a little warm, but still kicking a*s. PS: Well, i think if the ps3 owner on this forum should start a "IndianVideoGamer" Folding@home team.

Over heating is not a problem with PS3 as long as you are not in the middle of sahar desert during summer. Apparently PS3's got less than 3% crash rate as opposed to more than 20% that of 360s. You might want to keep your PS3 standing. Even Sony recommends that(I read that somewhere).

trivisingh
heating doesn't seem to be an issue with the PS3...i got mine place along with several electronic components in a corner and it gets pretty hot there but i had no crashes till now
