I'll get right to it and say "the BFBC2 PC Beta is not cancelled". Now this all started due to changes made to an earlier blog that removed the PC Beta from the details and the reason for this was the plan changed. With the huge success of the PS3 Beta we decided to drastically increase the PC Beta's capacity to insure as many people as possible could participate. Unfortunately this meant we had to delay the Beta to very early next year giving us more planning time to make it happen and implement more optimizations. TheDribbler Posted November 26, 2009 Report Share Posted November 26, 2009 ya i got the msg too....yesterday tried every damn f**king thing.....took recon and then pressed left and then pressed the button nothing happened then pressed l1 and stood on it then pressed it for fireworks also when you press right on recon what are the disco balls it throws ur good to play alongwith any game.... u spark the mood with humor in game as well with chocie of words. disco balls Those disco balls are sensor grenades... u throw them.. and they mostly try to go off if any enemy oppn or vehicle come in close proximity... I think they are only proximity sensors, i.e. if an enemy comes within its range it will show it to you on the hud map!! played it today for a bit and went .. one thing is for sure this game cannot be played on SDTV.. i couldnt see anything at all.. Not true!!! I play on a SDTV too!! Only problem is readin the texts (the smaller ones like the info abt guns, gadgets etc) on the menu!! As for ingame, even i felt when i first played the game that its impossible to play on a SDTV, but the second time i played, i realized it was normal!! Even on HDTV its sometimes hard to see the enemy, based on the videos posted on the net!! I have absolutely no problem now while playin the game!! Its just the atmosphere, brightness etc is different on this game, and you need to get used to it. Once you get used to it, you too will have no problems in viewing!! phirangi's with 20+ levels were kickin our asses to day .. is it only me.. or ny one else faces lag.. sometimes enemies jus come ou of a corner shootin at me.. Yeah, I have faced lag a lot of times!!! Normally it takes 3 shots above chest to down an enemy, but sometimes i need to shoot 5-6 shots to down them!!! And the objective starts at Base 1, 2, 3, till 5. - Each base has objective [A] & symbols marked. These are known as Crates - If we are attackers, aim is to plant charges on these crates and if defenders aim is to protect/diffuse the crates from being planted. - Guys going in tank, need to ensure that either the driver is a engr or his partner in tank is one. Repairing of tank when getting hit is must to survive in the tank. - Spotting plays a good role in detecting plyrs far far away as well. Juz move ur gun crosshair in the map and hit "SELECT" to detect enemies then marked with orange arrow above their head. - Don't play this game as run and gun..and don't be static at one position for a long time. - Plyrs playing as medic shud throw health packs and assaults shud throw ammo crates. Helps the team. - Recon plyrs need to find good camping locations most preferably in the mountains.. - Having a mic is very crucial if ur in a sqd. It really helps in teamwork and co-ordination. - Keep playing the class u like only and u will unlock very good stuff that will improvise ur weapons, gadgets..etc.. Here are a few more: - Throw the health packs and ammo packs in good tactical locations where you can expect your teammates to get injured (e.g near the bombing locations). You get points as well for every recharge your teammate uses from these packs. - Recon Players (i.e. snipers) are very important to the team. Remember, the goal in this game is always to support your teammates, so, for e.g., if you see an enemy tank engaging a tank of your team, you should take a good (and isolate) position and try to take out the engineer repairing the enemy tank. Or you could take out the opponent snipers. - Tanks are very powerful in this game, so always try to support your tanks. E.g if you are engineer, try to repair the tanks, if recon, try to kill the guys who are tryin to blow up your tank etc. Best part is, for all this (incl repair) you get points also!! - The crates can also be destroyed if they are blown off by tanks or grenades. Or, in some locations, the building over the crate is dectroyed, and it falls on the crates thuhs destroyin it. If you are attacking, try to throw as many rockets/grenades etc on the building/crate....it would give you a win without arming the crates (though more often than not, its difficult to blow up the crates). Also the crates can be repaired usin the engineer repair tool (i think so, as i saw a guy repairin it, but haven tried it myself) - Always join a squad, and always be a team man!!
