rAgHaV Posted February 8, 2010 Report Share Posted February 8, 2010 Anyway there is no 256p dom games, its just 32-64p games in disguise. i guess you haven't played much dom yet.. once you unlock all objectives it's 128v128 around 1 building for the control of those points and obviously if it's 256p it has to be organized.. you can't fit 256p in a map like radec academy once you unlock all those points in dom it's 128v128 organized chaos.. anyway ill join you guys tonight.. Looks pretty solid as of now but it NEEDS like minded players tfor it to be some serious fun. The matchmaking is so so sad, i played 4 games, once i barely managed to do anything before my team won, next was decent before i got DC'd, next match i joined, i was getting pwned from all sides and the opp team won pretty easily and then it showed on the score card that it was a 1v3 (guess who was the 1 ) Next match it was a 1v2 with me alone again and this time i managed to place both the bombs 3 times, two times at 1v2 and last when it was 1v1 before the other remaining guys also quit. IT needs moar players goddamnit. When u get such kind of games, quit immediately!!! As soon as you get into the game, press start and check out the no. of players in the game!! The opponent's tanks were rendered useless bby our expert engineers, as soon as an enemy tank came, it was blown up within 5 seconds !!! (Say thanks to my Red Darts ) An awesome moment yesterday was, Sid_Rocker was in my squad, so we both took a tank!! A third member joined us!! Currently, main confusion (which i faced while flyin the chopper) is that when u move the stick to the right, the chopper moves towards the left!! After lining up such a tank i purposely fire the rocket in a different direction.....its so damn freakin amazing to see the rocket change its course and hit the tank !!! I have played a full day of dom to know that. It doesn't matter if its 128vs128 around the building. For the defenders to win it is necessary not to let go of a single control point, so with 8 such points the players will practically be forced to divide themselves to fight for it. The 256p is nothing more than a marketing gimmick until they bring a mode where there is direct warfare between both sides. Till. i don't get to learn to pilot the chopper properly.. I see to it that others also don't fly.. To see what i do.. even to team-mates.. check eg video below Dan, if you have unlocked the vehicle alternate fire skill then start with the attacker's UAV. (I have seen it at every point except the harbour) Compared to the apache the UAV is very easy to pilot, but it still lets you be comfortable with the chopper controls as both have similarities. How much you need to progress with the UAV depends, I started getting 10-20 kill streaks with it before being able to use the apache properly. Just focus on taking out the stationary turrets with the missile while moving around first (never stay at the same spot as the UAV has low health), then stationary tanks with the missile, followed by enemy infantry with the secondary fire, then moving tanks with the missile and finally shoot down enemy choppers (very satisfying ). Once you are comfortable with those move on to the apache. Start of with practicing take off and landing. Landing is very tough so its a good way to learn to use it. I recommend stealing the chopper as an attacker and going back so that you can practice this without anyone interfering. And don't forget to switch between first and third person view while piloting. (Use UP arrow on the DPAD while on a vehicle to change camera) Use the first person view to fire at the enemy and the third person while landing or dodging enemy missiles. And keep in mind that the chopper is mainly moved using the left analouge stick, the right stick is used more for aiming. Anyway... the point is don't do that tk on me. Thr were very less ppl in da map.... hardly around 5 or 6 in each team... No i'm not spking with respect to MAG... in beta thr were lot of players in da map.. Wil play more 2nite...
