Somebody Posted February 15, 2010 Report Share Posted February 15, 2010 Once your dart hits the tank (u get 20 points if you hit the tank with the dart, so thats how ul know it!! You dont need to go right next to the tank to shoot it, il suggest hide in the bushes and fire from a decent distance), aim (i.e zoom in) your rocket launcher towards the tank, you will see a red square. It would be blinking (dnt remember this well, it either blinks or has spaces between the square), keep ur RL aimed towards the tank, the blinking will stop within 3-4 seconds and this means you have now locked on the tank!! Now fire ur rocket in any direction and watch it it the tank !! I'm a total n00b at both FPS and Multiplayer gaming but still I'm enjoying the game a lot...riding in UAVS,helis is too good and collecting name tags certainly feels like great achievements. Dont worry abt it bro!! Just keep playing!! After you get used to the game, you will fall in love with it!!! We all used to hate this game (and used to get badly pwned) when we started playing it (see the first few pages of this thread). But as we learnt how to play this game, we have fallen in love with it!! Keep few things in mind: 1) NEVER play without a squad 2) Try to play with people who you know 3) IF your team is outnumbered, quit immediately 4) Dont rush into the battle, take your time, learn the controls (specially the 'Spotting' button and concept) This demo is a nice opportunity for you to get used to the game, and then when the final game releases, ul be a PRO!! Yep!! Many newcomers to this game feel absolutely lost or get pwned badly because they do not know about spotting!! There are many instances where they get killed out of nowhere!! 'Spotting' is the sole cause of that!! You can spot from the chopper/UAV/Tanks as well!! Infact, in the beta, there was an attachment to the sniping rifle, that spotted players as soon as you aimed at them (you didnt need to press select)!! Also, tell me if im wrong, there was a vehicle attachment (radar or something), which when used, would show the enemies (within a defined radius) on screen, even if they are hiding in the buildings!!! My brothas, this demo is damn easy.....wait for the full game when all these attachments will pwn all of us badly !! If you wanna excel at this game, 'always think that you have already been spotted', and then play accordingly! This way you would not have many frustrating moments, as you would be ready for the next encounter!!! Also, If you are hiding at a place, and suddenly you hear shots being fired towards your direction, immediately move away and hide as the probability is high that you have been spotted!! Till now I have only played with assault , a bit unfortunate that there is absolutely no way to counter vehicles if assault is taken , the grenade launcher is also useless against vehicles , engineer at least has the rocket launcher. The full game should be a blast with variety of different maps and modes and more weapons and attachments. i hope there will be a lot of well designed maps.. beta n demo maps aren't too great tbh.. trying to reach lvl 60 with all PMCs in mag before bfbc2 comes out.. so no time for demos so how does spotting help ? you spot the player n your team can see him on the radar ?
