Id say 1. Game discs replaced with an online game download system 2. A HDD or flash drive that has atleast 1TB of space 3. A lot more non game functions, maybe even the ability to order a pizza or somthing online. 4. A powerful webbrowser and other communication software that will make you less and less dependednt on your computer. 5. UHD graphics 6. Ability to play mini missions of a game on the eight generation hand helds. 7. Consoles replacing every other entertainment device at home (if they havent already) 8. vinitwins Posted October 28, 2007 Report Share Posted October 28, 2007 * i'm all for better interfacing - so expect more innovations on the peripherals & controls side as well - video input/interfacing will play a BIG role. * the next generation of games are quite possibly going to be 100gb+ monsters, so production/development, distribution and support costs are going to force some tough decisions on the business side - i doubt if smaller, independent companies will be able to survive for long... * more evolved online communities - i can dream of a virtual world where you simply move your avatar between different gaming zones (depending on what gaming genres you prefer) and you'll party up and start playing. V Maybe sometihng like Playstation home, with the games loaded on your console, you could have to drive down to a track to play Forza or enter a Halo3 building to have to play the game, interact with other players in a lobby or somtihng. werewolf1 Posted October 28, 2007 Report Share Posted October 28, 2007 Online distribution is a nice idea, but downloading 100gb+ behemoths here in india will be a pain even in 2012.So i wouldnt go with that.And buying game discs just makes you feel awesome.I still ravell at times at my old 50+ gamecube collection.
