:( Anytime bro

I looked into what you had mentioned on phone about the ghosting problem, and am glad to say that there is NONE :P I checked out quite a lot of reviews and posts made by people who own this thing and have played some really good games on it. They say it's perfect for gaming. :D

Ghosting is a very subjective area. Like I have already mentioned I have been playing crysis on high detail and did feel the ghosting effect but that did not hamper my gaming experience in any way.

One of my friend (read hardcore CRT loyalist) came home .

First he noticed the vibrancy in colors and the brightness and the non glossy screen and was impressed.

Fired up a game and he immediately noticed some ghosting and said he would never sell his good old samsung CRT.

After playing for like 15 minutes, he completely got over the ghosting ( meaning his eyes got adjusted) and he said it did not matter to him anymore.

Now he is looking to buy the E2200 HD shortly.

Not trying to confuse you but telling you the facts as is.

@h3lios

How do I confirm whether my panel has the latest firmware update that fixes the ratio issue?

Sorry for the double post guys.....had to bump this thing up.

Anyways, yesterday I visited a local mall here in Kalyan and saw a 22 incher of some crap company, and I think a 22" would be small and difficult to concentrate if you're mulitplaying with a buddy (I mean console multiplaying) and you're sitting 2 to 3 feet away from the screen, and that is why am thinking of getting the E2400HD from BenQ, and I wanted your suggestion on this one :P

It would be great if someone would tell me the average mumbai price of this thing :wOOtjumpy:

So...what do you guys say...would it make some difference ?

Also, it would be great if someone has phone numbers of shops at Lamington. I can personally call them up and check out it's price :)

Any help in this regards will be greatly appreciated. Thanx a lot in advance :)

Sorry for the double post guys....

Well, I spoke with Amarbir (the trader at TE) on phone. He said the 24" S2409W is available for 16574/- (shipping extra). He said he can ship it to my residential address in Kalyan using DTDC Cargo (Air or Road my choice). Now, we calculated the shipping price @ Rs. 85 per kg/height for Air and Rs. 55 by road. If I choose air, that will be approx 750 bucks extra. He's in Chandigarh and is gonna be shipping from there.

I spoke with him on phone, and he said that after I transfer the funds, he'll place the order, and once he gets the monitor, he'll check for dead pixels and it's proper functionality. Once he's convinced everything is fine, he'll then ship it to me.

I am very excited about this Dell monitor (partly coz BenQ 24" isn't avialble :() and mostly coz Rishi said Dell would be a better choice than BenQ (if available at a good price, etc.) :) I personally am reading up a lot of reviews of Dell and how it fairs when you play a 360 or a PS3 on it :)

Anyways, will check out a whole lotta reviews and check out the price of this thing at Lamington and other vendors and will post here how it goes.

Also, would really appreciate advice from all the GI members here

Edit: Amongst all the excitement, I almost forgot. I've never done online shopping like this before. What if he takes my money and runs away :P Probably gonna be doing a wire transfer through ICICI. Only this thing is making me a little nervous now :( (yes am serious) :D

^^ Dont. Amarbir is a fairly regular trader on TE. No cause for worry.

Great :panic: Thanx a lot for that comment :P

Also, what do you guys think...is it a good idea to get it shipped from Chandigarh to Kalyan ? through DTDC ? :D
