I don't know what you guys are talking about.

Once you set up your wi-fi router. It connects to internet as long as it's hooked to the modem/internet. The configuration is done via the router's set up page and is one time only. You don't need to sign in again to be able to connect. As long as you enable secure access and set up the WEP key, you're safe. Most routers come with detailed manuals. If you follow them you should be able to set up your wi-fi network easily. A networking n00b like me could do it in 15-20 minutes.

After that you just need to turn on the modem and router. Any WAP-enabled devices will automatically detect the wireless connection and try to connect. All you need to do is enter the WEP key and you're set.

woah...dont go throwing around terms like that :P.. Wit WEP, you are anything but "safe". Go WPA2-PSK way for that.. and what are "WAP-enabled" devices? :P Only wap-enabled devices are your mobile phones and they need not be wi-fi enabled. The other WAP is wireless access point but there is no such thing as wireless accesspoint enabled devices. Maybe you mean wi-fi enabled or infratstructure mode enabled :P

i get that feeling too :nerves:

omar good idea... 'cept i dont have an ipod touch... :chair:

btw when u getting ur ps3 bro??? FIFA10..

If you buy a router that is alternate firmware (tomato/wrt/oleg etc)compatible, you could try running a perl script (or a simple curl/wget command) and make it repeat timely with cron to fake keeping you signed in.

Did you miss the part where I said I was a networking n00b? I am really bad at the jargon so sorry for misdirecting folks. And yes by WAP-enabled I meant wireless-enabled and I do use the WPA2-PSK key too (the name kept escaping me).

Hopefully, I'll get a ps3 in a week or so...

As I had two devices accessing the internet at the same time because of the login page problem, i was facing NAT issues and lag...

Thats the reason I switched my ISP and everythings fine now...
