I can't play it without taking a break every 15-20 minutes and go outside, stand in bright sun for few minutes and recollect the sanity. Maybe the marker is for real I'm playing with HT full volume, and with in the night. The game is too awesome to be wasted with TV/stereo speakers. Am using the TV speakers for this one :| I dont understand why you want to ruin the game for ur self....it is suppose to be played like how CC mentioned...in the night with full volume(for those with headset)...I would give anything to play like that...i like to be scared at times...honestly and i have experienced it....i was playing silent hill in my old house and there was no one there...door was slightly open and my whole attention was in the game only.......so while playing i just saw this figure passed me....man i freaked out....seriously i dropped the controller and i could hear my heart beat....the person was my bro...he just came in and was going to other room.....but that scary feeling mein alag hi majha tha..but i agree this game is very scray...even DS did freaked me out couple of times.....but dont do that Tv speaker thing..... you just spoiling your experience.... I had these same issues when playing the original Dead Space and I wasn't able to play game for 3 months when on Chapter 6 thinking why do I have to make myself go through this? Now, by the looks of it this is even scarier. I think I will stick to multiplayer for now. BTW has anyone played Extraction yet, is it as scary cause I was thinking of finishing that first. Extraction is even worse (more scary) because your movement is decided by the game, so you can't wait to catch your breath, or run away from oncoming necro mob. And even though you get unlimited ammo, you have to reload after 3 shots. This is proper old school RE type scary. the mgs4 one...7.1 sony headphones ,right?? ...that you got when mgs4 came out.....amazing...enjoy... Yeah same ones. Its not the actual sound of undead that scares you, because once you hear them you know they're there, so you prepare for attack. Its the other ambient sounds, like door closing behind you, hissing vents, balloons popping (yeah its there) etc that gets on your nerves. And you can hear them crystal clear in those headphones. I cant play more than 30 minutes at a time I'm at the level where Dana asks Isaac to go in the church so that Tiedman can't find him. Then after going trhough some areas inside the church, there was a exit a through a hallway.
