I started playing the game last year on PC when it came out but gave up since i didn't liked the save system no checkpoints had to re-start everytime i died, thinking of starting it on 360 this week.

I don't think there's any way to remove nodes that are already used, which is why you really need to think before using them.

Yes you can reuse them at Bench, But they cost some credits.

OT:- One of the Best Campaigns I had this year, dare I say this Gen. I won't say its a Scary Game but The campaign just blew my mind with some outstanding set pieces that rival UC2! The story was more personal this time.\

Anybody attempting Hardcore Mode ?? :naughty:

I am going to start DS 1 soon. But just wanted to know if there is any "carry-forward" of whatever you achieve from 1 into 2.

Reason I'm asking is because it's getting very difficult to find a ps3 copy which the gf also wants to play. So I'm borrowing it from a friend.

360 copies are available and pretty cheap so I was thinking I'll borrow the ps3 copy for the gf so she could run through it. And I'll buy a cheap 360 copy and take my time going through it. Once done I will play 2 on the ps3.

I say dont waste your time on DS1. Skip it.

DS2 is a better game and isnt as boring/repetitive as DS1. You can read the story of DS1 from wiki to ensure you dont miss the plot. Moreover, skipping DS1 for DS2 will ensure that you dont get bored with the gameplay or the feel of the series in general by the time you finish DS1 & start DS2. You can always play DS1 later.

Believe me Dead space games can become a drag if you over-do them.

^^ aman bro

I played DS1 before. I was in some level where I had to face a monster called Leviathan.

Honestly with due respect, I found the game very nicely paced and not repetitive at all.

So as per you, there isn't a big loss for a newbie to jump straight into 2 without playing 1??

DS1 is a better survival horror game, DS2 is more action oriented and the sense of fear and desolation is kinda toned down. If you want to prove to your GF that Dead Space has more horror than RE then DS2 is not gonna help your case.

:fear:

All the talk and now I'm more eager to finish DS1 myself. Forget the gf and what I want her to realise.
