praveer
the game uses unreal engine 3. any half decent pc can maintain rock solid 60fps with it as well. so why artificially limit the framerate to 30? and heck, they've even encrypted the ini file so we can't just edit out the framerate cap. stupid, stupid devs. I know that. Infact my PC can play 9/10 games at 60FPS with max settings but still as I said before I don't really like playing most TPS at 60FPS cause of bad animations looking worse at higher framerate. Unless TPS games give me Uncharted 2/GTA/RDR level of face/body animations I'd be more than happy at 30FPS. Anyway I guess there should be a way around to decrypt the .ini file, if not now then hope for someone to do it in future.
devil_angel
what do the devs get out of encrypting the ini file anyway? spoil sports
praveer
Apparently they think it preserves their manhood cause they won't like their work to be touched by anyone else.

devil_angel
I'll wait for GT n GS reviews. I dont trust IGN. I suggest you wait for some scapegoat from IVG to buy it, so that we can get user comments from our own I'm too suspicious here coz the MP demo was nothing like '9' material! and the art design was crappy to say the least! Aftrunner
Maybe the 60 FPS will be a DLC pack. This is Activision published right? "Boost your ingame experience by doubling your frame rate with the Ignorance Package." * *Dependant on hardware.
theneurotoxin
Yeah quite a few reviews for the 360 version.Looks like this will be getting a good score. The single player campaign must be much better than the MP component then. EDIT:I think Afty just got himself another job.
spindoctor
I'm sure someone will find a way. Keep the faith bro. yea... i reckon someone will figure out a way. waiting for a steam sale on the game anyway...
praveer
I'd believe its more of getting a steady average frame rate than one with too many dips. Anything 30-45 with bells and whistles works imho. Its not...as I mentioned before I have a beefy rig good enough to run 9/10 games at perfect 60FPS. So its obviously not related to dips & fluctuations.

Nemo
IGN is full of TF fanboys. IIRC, they even liked Bayformers 2... a LOT. o_0 will tread cautiously then
Keyofx
Still averaging 84 after 11 reviews on Metacritic (X360 version). Time to find the b1atch! All those reviews showed up at the same time, though.. There's been nothing new for a couple of days now.
sup bro?
The Kotaku review is pretty encouraging. I usually prefer their reviews over others but it kinda sounds like a fanboy written one. Will wait for the Eurogamer review.

What I have a problem with is the level design. I just can't spend 8 hours staring at chrome.
