I noticed that Zavvi (run by the same company that runs TheHut) is sold out too.

This needs to sell just so we get a sequel set on Earth.

was on earlier, saw that you were playing split second. im online fairly often during the night, we should get a group together, & have a conquest xp boost session. no shooting, just run around capturing points. that would be alot easier to level up then.. cause so far its taking me ages to level up. im around level 9 for most classes.

Started with the Decepticons campaign. Played the first mission. As a Transformers fan I'm really loving it so far...

The shooting feels tight and responsive and the weapons are fun to use. The game is also quite a looker, sure there's a lot of metal and chrome but it still looks stunning (better than the usual browns and grays at least) and is packed with a lot of detail. But more than everything I love the classic Transformers feel it has to it. The characters look and sound great.

Is the gameplay as derivative as everyone says it is??

How smooth are the transformations on the PS3 version??

Well it IS a generic third-person shooter underneath all the jazz (pardon the pun), I won't deny that but it is done rather well. The pacing is great. I don't see anything wrong with derivative gameplay as long as its fun and doesn't get too tedious or boring.

The transformations look very cool. I'm not sure what your benchmark for comparison is but they do look quite smooth and convincing. Then again I feel they're more or less a gimmick and you'll be in robot form for most of the dtime. The only times I had to transform (in the first mission at least) was when I was out of ammo and there were no crates around. The vehicle form has a separate gun with its own ammo.
