Broadband Connection For Gaming in GURGAON

Recommended Posts

well technically speaking ,

512Kbps = 512 / 8 = 64 KBps

so in one hour you should have : (64 x 60 x 60) / (1024) = 225 MB download :P

even this is hypothetical as you cannot have exact same speed your ISP is providing you since there will be data loss .

and spooky stuff happen with airtel , like they did not turn off the night 1mbps speed for me today :( that's some unspoken marketing strategy of airtel which they give its users once in a while :O

Atleast they won't turn off their servers once every few days like Tata Indicom.

mr techincal .. check ur speed on speedtest , you never get promised speed on airtel , u always get more than that :P , for 512k it hovers around 600k and for 1mbit its 1.2 -1.3 mbit hence the 150KBps dls ...

I hv airtel at home. Quite satisfied with it though. But need one more, dont ask why.

I thot of giving a try to reliance/tata, but i read somewhere that they restart their servers also in 2-3 days...

also if i use the internet for 3-4 continous hours then modem resets.

PLz help.

U know math?!@! :O

Download speed that u actually get is always divide by 8 as it is in kBITSps and download speed that u get is kBYTESps.

1 byte = 8 bits....dont hv to tell more as many experts r sitting here already.

Also there is some loss of bandwidth also...so cant expect full bandwidth unless there is no limit by isp on upper limit of broadband.

Waise where is my solution???

on a serious note wait for Airtel rather than compromising :good:
