Yeah most confrontations are'nt physical..And Bats jus uses brains out to deal with 'em! But the ones where he faces them directly it gets pretty ugly from there! Eg. In some episodes of justice league, and batman/super man anime movie where they face off against darkseid, Also in the flashback scenes of Batman beyond anime movie..
