Joy
Nah... , to enjoy the graphics , u had to constantly switch between the two , also once I got used to the game , I didn't had to use it much , I just knew where the ledges etc. would be , just use it once to scan the area for enemies then enjoy the awesome graphics. Big Boss
IMO thats really too much...i literally played full of the first game in detective mode....I could not see most of the time without detective mode....overuse of detective mode was a bit down side of the first game and now they bringing it back even more. +1, around 40% of my game was played in detective mode. But I am liking this openworld approach: Before heading into the structure, we're shown one of the ways Batman can get around in Arkham City. By leaping from rooftops, or other suitably high locations, Batman can glide over the streets of Arkham. He can continue gliding to the ground and perform a high-impact landing by using his dive bomb maneuver, or he can use the same maneuver to quickly lose attitude and then swoop back up towards the sky. If you're already on the ground, then you can easily grapple up the side of a building (or even onto the landing struts of a helicopter) to get back to higher ground. What's interesting is that while you're doing all of this, you can use detective vision to check out what's going on in the city, and choose to fight crime elsewhere, if you choose to do so. http://www.gamespot.com/events/msshowcase2011/story.html?sid=6300792&pid=981375&mode=previews&tag=topslot;thumb;4 IMO a superhero game is best played as an openworld game or with huge levels. Aftrunner
I said it before and I will say it again. Detective mode should have been dropped in favor of something like the Sonar ping mode from Splinter cell conviction with a recharge timer. Such a pretty game and all you ever see of it is green Xray vision.
kemosabe
Batman is a Detective Superhero and Detective mod of one of USP of the game for Batman Fan, I understand other may not like it but that what Batman is suck it,,if you want only action you should look for Hulk, wolverine and other superhero games,,I will love more of a Detective Game/mission in Batman game, for raw action I will hulk or wolverine and for Freeroaming in an open world - spiderman is the game - web slinging is the second best ( first one if Flying -superman) super hero method of roaming around a huge city

Aftrunner
That would be kinda stupid though. It would minimize the game wouldnt it? Might as well throw in Press Alt Tab to begin. Better yet Press Alt F4 to begin. And watch the tards on forums pile up "ZOMG GAME CRASHES TO DESKTOP!!"
