dabba
Last but not the least is the Batman Logo...its starts to crumble as the trailer ends just like we have the Bioshock logo!! FROSTBITE ENGINE technology...
Nemo
I am worried they have not changed Harley's clothes i mean come on i wanted different type of dresses ...joker has the same skin from previous game 70 years of iconic dressing and u want change
ayush12ice
It's probably the effect of his Titan transformation from the first game. And I highly doubt it will follow the DKR storyline. i agree with tyler, i think i saw a drip besides him too
My weight is 102 kgs
70 years of iconic dressing and u want change I meant something cooler on Harley ....Joker is awesome...... Otherwise the game would look like a DLC of AA1

kemosabe
wow..I know its coming but not that soon.. It seems Rocksteady planned it allready. They mastered the basic setup for the graphics, combat, camera and all. Now they only to continue the saga with new villains and story plot. I will not mind open world environment - it will interesting how they will make it worthwhile with the gamerplay mechanics

sup bro?
Todd Howard (director of Bethesda) had this insane concept for an open world Batman game. If AA2 is anywhere close to it, it could be the greatest game ever. “It’s a wide-open freeform Batman simulator. Presentation like Assassin’s Creed and you can explore the entire city. Climb buildings, collect clues, capture criminals, and save the city. You have to manage your “Vigilante” level; the cops don’t like it when you’re careless. Reduce your Vigilante level by doing mission for Commissioner Gordon. Get in good and they’ll put up the Bat Signal. The game follows the entire career of Batman. You start as naïve Bruce Wayne and develop your toys over time. It has parts similar to X-Com where you run Wayne Enterprises and allocate your money for equipment and R&D. You upgrade your costume, utility belt, Batcave, and several vehicles. The entire game looks like Alex Ross painted it.” Complete interview here http://gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/200...decchatter.aspx
Daedalus
that sounds almost exactly like assassins creed 2. btw, reading the interview now.
mukhtadir
don't we have enough open world free roam games? wasn't AA1 just perfect? so something on similar lines would be good enuf for a sequel.. Although the above concept of an open world batman game by Todd Howard does look interesting and tempting..

If AA2 is anywhere close to it, it could be the greatest game ever.Complete interview here http://gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/200...decchatter.aspx Sandbox or not, visuals that look like Alex Ross' art would have been enough to make the game awesome as hell. Also I had posted a very similar concept quite a while ago (back when AA was announced). The reason why I am positive about an open-world Batman game is because Gotham itself has been a character in Batman stories. If done properly, it would be really cool to explore the city and it's darkest corners. Of course, the keywords are "if done properly".
Buzz
Open world batman is what I want. When AA was announced and it became known that the game is only set in AA:) I was very disappointed. Because IMO batman is incomplete without Gotham City. I am willing to wait for 2 years for such a game instead of getting a Batman:AA 1.5 game.

Gliding around it and checking out the art deco styled buildings would be really fun. Also, searching the skies for the bat signal, exploring the underbelly of the city, fighting crooks etc. It's a bit over the top but nothing bad in dreaming, right? Actually the only thing that could kill it will be too much freedom. It cannot be like GTA where Batman would start driving really fast, running over pedestrians with the Batmobile. in-fi-ni-ty
i actually like this idea. u progress/improve along the way and shape the final GOTHAM city. y should it be a bad idea?
Bulovski
I am all for open world - like Deadly Shadows but much better. It was fun to listen to random conversations and then loot people. There were no quest indicators at all. Batman can pick up chatter and figure out when a crime is happening. Nemo
an open world is very difficult to pull off. look at spiderman 2. it was great but i got tired after getting the nth gubbara or saving the nth guy from committing suicide. IF they can pull of variety in missions then awesome but i doubt that.. spiderman 2 had that awesome web swing that never got old, same is not the case here. I posted this thing in AA thread too, batman does not have superpowers that can be used to blow up things or travel all around the city causing mayhem at will and taking on a platoon of cops endlessly and coming unscathed, read batman year 1, there is such a scene and bats barely manages to escape. If you present the argument of GTA, well then taking down a chopper via rpg is not exactly batman now is it ? spiderman can swing all day, supes can fly, iron man can get drunk and swear to keep open world interesting, batman does not have that luxury. Think mgs.. that is how i imagine batman, awesome stealth with great set pieces. An open world mgs would suck. also how will they manage the day-night cycle ?? batsy does not operate in day time. I personally believe open world concept is over rated (unless its done by rockstar) mostly cause an open world game often ends up being repetitive (again unless its made by R*, though ubi too can claim their mastery with ac2). Not ever game needs it. I would much rather have them use the same approach of AA- semi open world where u have lost of area to play but still have set goals. P.S. Alex ross' art = win in unmeasurable amounts.
