zophar
my ps3 got YLoD and despite owning a 360, i still NEEDED the ps3 to play UC2 , but not only that, there's also GOW3/Heavy Rain/GT5 so its not just to play a single title but a bunch of exclusives

sup bro?
I spent most of the past few years playing a lot on my PS2 (no money to get a new console or PC). Being a PS exclusives fanboy I had to get a PS3. I may get a 360 next year sometime for Alan Wake and the Halo series (preferably a bundle). playstation
The only people who say that either A.Dont own the console or B.Moved the console while playing or C.Were just plain unlucky. I have known people with xboxes personally who never faced this problem. Also I have literally used my GTA4 disc for over a 100 hours without installing. And yet there is just one minor scratch which doesnt make a darn of a difference while playing.Even I was kinda troubled with this thing before I actually used the console personally.Half the sh*t they make up on the internet is plain false Am not denying that it happens cos I cannot prove that it doesnt. But I havent faced this problem yet, nor have I seen any of my friends who an xbox facing this problem. So yeah its probably not as common as the internet makes you think yaar i have read here quite some time back .... the xbox owners posted this problem its not just i read it on internet and posted here and there a lot of post regarding that disc scratching . But still as you said this problem is not faced by many so maybe i am wrong and they were some unlucky users then .
Bulovski
Alright who am I kidding.... I love achievements! Yeah you do. We've been hypnotized from childhood that bigger numbers have to be aimed for. The only reason I will buy a multiplat on PS3 is if it looks and runs better (AA), or available cheaply from TP
cyclops
Alan Wake
Bulovski
The disc scratching problem exists - fact. It won't make your disc unplayable. It's a rare occurrence. Basically keep your disc tray clean and don't juggle the console with a disc in it.
