piper
Dude, I simply meant that in the VAT69 price range, what else do you recommend. Prices for all brands will vary similarly across states, so the Rs. 1100 is just to say that is the budget. For Bangalore prices, you can always go to http://www.madhuloka.com/ . piper
Got no friend posted here. Otherwise it'd be full fun. I rely on the occasional chance at getting something through duty free if some friend is flying in.
Bulovski
^^ try Amrut single malt. It's a nice Indian whiskey. A bit more expensive but worth it.
The Wolfy among us
100 pipers is good at 1100 price range right?
Bulovski
100 pipers is not good at any price. If you're drinking whiskey drink something decent.
The Wolfy among us
I'm not an expert, but I kinda like it. Can't afford anything above 1500, so moslty end up with Black Dog 8 years, or Teachers or 100 pipers. Any other suggestions?

ThE JuGgErNaUT
ok. was at a friends place last year chilling & this is what we made in a jug:- (measures were taken in a standard T-cup, chai walla cup just in case someone wants precise measures please realise there weren't any used in this experiment) Batch 1 1. 2 cups Blender's Pride 2. 2 cups Old monk 3. 1 cup Simran (smirnoff vodka ) 4. 1 cups real(the brand, not asli walla) cranberry juice 5. 1.5 cups tropicana mixed fruit juice 6. 1 cup coke Stirred well & served with one cube ice as Delhi/Gurgaon is anyway freezing our a*s' off. Gave us 3 beer mugs worth of this cocktail. This concoction was good tasting, but a little sweet for everyones taste. Batch 2 we reduced the cranberry juice to 1/2 cup & added 1 measure catch soda. rest was the same. Much better. as one said "yummy" Batch 3 Well honestly speaking, we were too far gone with just 2 beer mugs of these to remember what we did here. One slept off. Two of us don't remember what we added to the third batch. By the end of it, we'd run through 1/2 bottle of Blenders, half of Old monk & another half bottle of Smirnoff. Next time will use better liquor Blender -> 100 Pipers Old monk -> Bacardi Black maybe (has anyone tried it? better than old monk? ) In case you like the recipe, or the idea, reps shall be appreciated
piper
Don't mix all these entry level brands like tadka with one another, unless you have some enmity with your liver. Simple drink batch ideas : lemon iced tea + Smirnoff lime Lemon juice + mint leaves crushed/paste + Bacardi rum plain Bacardi black should be good.
