Lord Nemesis
Guy's I have my PS3 connected to my Dell 2007WFP 20" LCD using a HDMI to DVI-D Cable and outputting 720p. PS3 games play fine, but when I run God of War 2 (India - PAL), the screen becomes greenish in color. through some of the text and menus are visible, the everything else is green. Is there any solution by which this can be fixed.

vinitwins
^ have you tried playing it at any other resolution? 480p? or 480i on a SDTV? V
Lord Nemesis
As I mentioned in the inital post, both the Game and PS3 are PAL. Also I its working when I connected it using composite to my monitor (though the resolution 576i makes it a pain to play). Its giving a greenish display when connected through a HDMI to DVI cable and set resolution to 720p.
vinitwins
^ any way to test it at 576p? does your tv support progressive scan (edtv resolutions)? V
CarbonCore
Go to display settings on the PS3, check the last two options, change "RGB Full Range (HDMI)" to "Limited" and turn off "Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr Super-White (HDMI)", then try it again. CarbonCore
No it is from personal experience. The HDMI features were added in fw 1.80 version. I started playing GoW2 before the update. After installing 1.80, I changed the HDMI options and dang, green God of War 2. It happened on my old plasma TV though. The newer one that I have supports Super-White feature and doesn't have this problem.
Lord Nemesis
Thanks for the suggestions guy's, but What I have is a Dell 2007WFP 20" LCD Monitor with Composite, S-Video, VGA D-Sub and HDCP enabled DVI-D Inputs. I have also already tried setting RGB Full Range to Limited and Super White to off and it did not fix the problem.
CarbonCore
Try switching off cross color filter. Also turn off PS2/PS1 upscalar and Smoothing from Game settings.
Lord Nemesis
Guy's I finally figured it out finally. Many people have this Problem with PAL PS3's playing PAL games or PAL DVD's on various LCD's TV's and Monitors including my Dell 2007WFP and theres no known solution for this. I tried experimenting with with the settings on PS3 and my Dell display and voila, I found out a solution for this. My LCD has two color modes RGB, HD YPrPb for DVI Input with RGB being the default option. Whenever I boot a PS2 PAL game on PS3, its automatically changing the resolution to 576p and somehow also changing the color mode to HD YPrPb and the display is coming out green in this mode. After starting the game, I tried changing the color mode back to RGB and the correct colors came back. May be the same thing applies to the greenish tint that comes for PAL DVD's too. Though its a bother to change everytime you play a DVD or PS2 game, at least something is better than nothing. Also it doesn't matter whether any of the PS3 display settings or on or off. I have played with these settings. PS2 Scaler : Full Screen PS2 Smoothing : On RGB Full Range: On Cross Color Filter: On
