I just could not wait, so got a PSN Card from ebay and now I am downloading it via US PSN, its a big download around 2.8 GB again I heard there is already a patch and that's round 500 MB so I guess it would be 10-12 hrs more until I can play.

Congtrats. Would it be possible for you to check is socom is sharable or not?

May be you could share the PSN ID details with me and I will check it. Once confirmed I will remove your ID and get the game through our PSN team.

Yes you can share this game.

But IMHO you should wait dont download this game right away as there are many bugs, I just installed it yesterday and could hardly play as I had around 4 freezes in about 30 minutes, I guess you should wait till there is a new patch.

Will try again today to play and give an opinion. (BTW this is an online only game like Warhwak so no single player campaign etc)

it's given in the description that it can be downloaded on 5 activated systems. so it's like any other psn game.

Gamespot, as unprofessional as ever

Socom Confrontation was recently released last week, and it was with massive problems and road blocks permitting anyone who bought the game from enjoying a full game - (myself included)

Being an online only game calls for all cards in when being able to get online with it. It's pretty important, and well.... Socom isn't allowing us to do much of that right now, but more patches are on the way and things are getting ironed out.

Knowing these problems the review sites should have held off of their initial reviews since they know these problems are being worked on and being fixed daily, and in some cases hourly. I

think it's premature to jump the gun and give this game a 6.5 when you know Socom games are some of the highest rated games of all time, hell Gamespot even gave a few 9's to them before. But don't you think it is a bit premature to rate this game on a scale of not being patched, as opposed to being patched?

Gamespot, once again, showing how biased and one sided they are in the media hub we gather our daily video game news at. Remember, this isn't the 1st time they've shafted the Ps3 users.

Ratchet & Clank FTOD was given a 7.5 from these Piss Bots, and that was fine... if you thought the game was a 7.5 whatever. I know it wasn't and the 2 million people who bought it now know it wasn't. But what kills me is when the Dick Leak who reviewed the game made no mention of how incredible the graphics were... he simply skipped over that part in his review. Reason being? They're still the best looking on the market to date and for any console.

But back to the topic at hand... Socom should not have been graded by any site worth their salt. These guys know these "online only" games are an evolution in progress and things always evolve and get better. It's like they're trying to justify their opinion or make a stand against Sony here and it's wrong.

Giving Socom a score of 6.5, like Gamespot did, is misleading to their readers and to the consumers. It says to them this game is etched in stone to have these problems from now till it is pulled from servers and we're sticking by our guns and, oh by the way f**k you....

All of them except IGN, cause was smart enough to post an article saying that it would be wrong to accurately review the game until all the network problems were sorted out, i assumed that most other sites would be as professional.

I assumed wrong.

This is hilarious. I dont understand why PSf**s get their panties all in a bunch when someone calls a spade a spade in relation to a PS3 exclusive. I dont know why the Slant Six or Sony ever allowed the game to be released in the state it was in. Hey, here's an online only game that you cant play online. It was only but natural that the reviews would slam the game for this. Who is to say that the patches will fix all the problems, and even if they do eventually fix the problems, the game is draining US$ 40- 60 out of your pockets right now. Is it right to expect gamers to pay such sums of money up front in the hope that a game they love will eventually be playable ?

If Gears of War or Halo 3 were released with this sort of online problems, we would have all ripped the devs / publisher a new one. And this is for games with a single player campaign. SOCOM:Confrontation is an online only game and it cant be played online in its current state without facing a raft of problems. And the idiot who authored the piece of poetry linked above is tearing into Gamespot for a low score, which frankly should have be even lower given how many complaints are flowing around about the game.

Get over it PSf**s.

^^ lol .. that rly is funny ... how can u hold off a review and its rating just bcos patches are on the way .. if a game is released with plenty of glitches, it is a bad game .. no matter howmany patches are on the way .. may they can re-review it once the patches are released ..

I'm surprised they still got people to review games at Gamespot

And who the f**k is vgtilt? when did R&C sell 2 million copies? Bots should know better than to trust these sites :P

Nope, not true. Case in point - Warhawk, can only be played online on the account it was bought from.

Warhawk is freed up after 2.40 update, you can share it with multiple accounts.
