RenegadeRocks
Hey Guys, I am having a tough time trying to decide on a LCD monitor which can also couple as my PS3 display for games and blu-ray. Dell has a few, the S2209W, S2409Ware available, (ST2210 and ST2310 are not available with the Dell distributer though the website says its available in India) BenQ has E2200HD, E2400HD. Samsung also has similar monitors which support fullHD and HDCP. I have searched around and heard that the BenQ ones do not display 720p correctly, which is what 99 percent of ps3 games run on. Dell S2209W has issues regarding Blu-ray playback. Some say it works, some say only games work, blu-ray doesn't. There's no way to chk myself. Samsung ones....well, I don't like the TVs Samsung churns out, dunno about monitors and th eones I chked didn't have HDMI. I do have a HDMI-DVI cable, but then most monitors have only one DVI socket, which will get occupied by my PC. Buying one for the PC is easy, but one which will also support ps3 fully is difficult ! Help me out ! PS: I am not spending on a S-PVA panel please, I already have one. My issue is

The site does not specify anything, as to what is incorrect, but how is th eimage quality in games? Does it get blurry?

RenegadeRocks
nope not at all i dont know about 720p i run my ps3 on 1080p so dont know about that though but picture quality is awesome But most of the games like KZ2, MS:PR, RE5 and UC2, all run on 720p, even if u r running ur ps3 on 1080p. SInce 99% games out there run on 720p, one needs that res to display perfect. I am guessing u r already running games on 720p itself. So, if any o these games seems as sharp as ur PC output, there shouldn't be a problem. So, how's it then? Also, Has anyone used the Dell S2209W with a bluray movie? RenegadeRocks
Benq G2412... Nimmo got it. So has another friend and it truly is awesome bang for the buck Is it glossy or matte? I would prefer a 22", as 24" is too much for me. I already have a 32" Bravia, so don't need another monster in here. 22" strikes a good balance. Davis Nayagam
Hey Am using Viewsonic LCD monitor for PC and as well as PS3. Its damn good. And I feel that its cheap and best. Two of my friends also use the same. It has HDMI, DVI, VGA ports so you won't be having any problem to connect your PS3/PC. I heard, even researched and found that this brand is good at performance. Why don't you spend some time looking through few models of this brand? Even it looks so cute, simple and sweet. I doubt whether 22inch comes with HDMI port but if not it would support HDCP. XeOn
i have the G2420HD... really skull blasting visuals i get from my PS3... totally worth 11k that i spent... plus.. to make matters simple... the monitor has a 3.5 mm jack on the side to give the output of the HDMI connection .. how cool is that ... if you wanna buy a monitor.... i would suggest you this beast ... i went through the same jhanjahat as you were a month back ... and then ... it happened

indusporus
i've a benq G2412...excellent output quality for both audio and video. Absolutely no problems with the display of any ps3 games so far. My only complaint is the placement of buttons. They are at the bottom of the monitor and aren't easily accessible/ readable. Except that, no complaints at all. Bought it from Krom for 11k and i heard that they've further reduced the prices now. Edit:Just checked the Eseries monitors...looks like they've better features than G series -better DCR,USB ports, extra HDMI port and IN BUILT SPEAKERS too...i think that's definitely worth the 14k price tag. y didn't i see this earlier..
