m-JeRi
Hi aLL... I need some help... personal kind. any help will be appreciated. Saw few threads like this. but the questions were not the same or didnt want to lose under the flood. 2010, I hope will be a year of new beginning for me. atleast a chance of one. I earlier though of going for MBA in UK/Aus/NZ. but that plan is now under re-evaluation. The main reason is the amount of the money to be spent. I want to keep the cost as minimum as possible. A acceptable MBA degree in UK will set me back by 13 lacs or so INCLUDING living costs. Thats pretty much my unrealitic highest amount. Right now my main focus is to go for masters in engineering..something which i should have done earlier. . I have the required confidence to go for masters in computer science and engineering stream now after 2.5 years of work experience. Earlier i was not so keen abt that. Maybe after some time, a shift to managerial post. So can you help me out in regard of that. and Oh yeah i am loking for PR or working abroad as the main options now. Not so keen to come back right away. I have stumbled on Singapore as a possible location. the Nangyang Tech University and NUS is having some very good programs. The costs are affordable for a 2 year pgm. plus the job scene also i hear is good in singapore. Any suggestions? Is there part time jobs in Singapore?. i haven't heard abt in any. And next locations i found are in the European countries.. like Germany..Sweden..Finland. I have relatives in Germany, but no one in my age group to ask abt this.. So all eyes to you guys. Or any suggestions and ideas at all are invited. And in my search i have stumbled on some more info Singapore may not be good for me. No part time jobs + Software industry is not that strong there AFAIK http://www.icics.ubc.ca/mss/ Its PERFECT for me. it got everything i am looking for. Any ideas abt the ** university anyone?. and what the job scene in Canada? What i want in a course is a better edge..better knowledge in being a manger in software industry. If i want a general management angle. i can always opt for a part time MBA. But i need a Master in S/w to advance in my current industry. And does any one know anything abt Erasmus Mundu Programmes? Anything will be appreciated. m-J
vantheman5211
hey buddy why dont you give it another year and do an executive mba from one of the iim's or xlri/spjain's etc.it would be great in terms of jobs as i think the trend now is more companies give packages to experienced personnel with high quality management knowledge. vantheman5211
Agree IIM's are Top notch. But i want to go abroad. simple as that. well you will have to crack the gmat and get 700+ to get admitted in a good institute and i dont think 2.5 years of work experience is enough if you wanna do from a top notch institute abroad.the fees will also border near 20 lakhs and more.for eg. a pg program in london business school costs upwards of 20 lakhs.or else sp jain and imt ghaziabad have campuses abroad so you mite wanna inquire about that but i dont think the placements would be good.it depends on whats your current package at the moment and see whether your investment would give you a healthy increase on what you already have.
