ps3 not copying movies

whenevr i try to copy some movie which is 4gb or more in size, my ps3 slim just keeps on copying it and never stops d max i waited was when a 4.3 gb file kept on copying till 16gb n den i had to cancel it............the other day i was reading in some thread about fat32 n ntfs file systems . is it something to do with it????????plsss help....

 

 

edit. m sorry forgot to tell you i was doing the transfer via the ethernet cable........

PS3 uses FAT32 file system. The FAT32 file system does not supports a file more that 4 GB in size. You will have to split the file before transferring it on your ps3.

thnx man for the quick reply..........will try ............. shud i use normal file splitter or some video splitter. kindly suggest one if you have any info........

Unrelated, but wanted to pich in the AVCHD. It works really well for HD content. Try burning an AVCHD DVD.

 

You will need to remux mkv to a m2ts transport. Use the tool called tsMuxer. It wont re-encode the file but change the containers. A 8 GB file will take around 1 minute for the remuxing.
