Noctis Posted January 24, 2011 Report Share Posted January 24, 2011 ^^ In fact, there are some sequences which require you to use these special melee attacks. e.g. in the sniper mission on the monorail you have to use the heavy machine gun melee attack so that you can perform a AR combo in mid air and take down the driver of the hover car floating above you eh? You can just snipe him down as well. you "have" to snipe him otherwise you fail the mission if you kill him with any other weapon. What I meant was that unless you use the HMG melee attack, you can't get a shot at him as the hover car's position is such that you can't actually see the driver. Since there is no jump button in vanquish,the only way to get elevation here is to use the HMG melee attack and with this attack, you can also start an AR combo and then switch weapons mid air. You can complete the mission just by hitting all the lights in time. playstation Posted April 28, 2011 Report Share Posted April 28, 2011 I happen to play this game some time back....i had very high expectation seeing the hype here and the trailers also ..and I feel a bit disappointed ....abt this game it literally puts you into action from the very to start to the end...but it does not try to explore the story side or anything ....there is abt just 10-20 minutes of cutscene in this game....and from the cutscene also does not have any depth ...though few cutscenes are very cool....other than that it is a highly intense action game....looks like all the focus was on the action and it does a awesome job in that ....sach mein lag reha hai i am in middle of a war with robots and all....but is that it.....it is sad to see that Platinum game outshines where even many old developers also fail and that is at providing a awesome gameplay both with bayonetta and vanquish they did awesome job with gameplay but fail badly in both the games when it comes to story telling ....Vanquish does not even attempt to explore the story through cutsenes or even through written datas and all.....all you can expect is a genuine action gun play from this game lasting abt 5-7 hours....tbh i will rate this game 7-8 /10 .....and that it deserves it easily specially with great graphics and gameplay... also very important point guys this game literally makes your PS3 scream.....i have never experienced that kinda of noise coming from my ps3 ever before playing this game...be careful if you have old ps3's and without warranty ones...trust me i tried to hear if the sound was coming from other games too....but it was only this game that takes ps3 to danger zone....so do keep checking for the noise and keep it very well ventilated when playing this game...dont push it too hard ...if you hear the loud noise of the fans..... just switch it off ..let it cool for 20-30 mins and then play....better just leave it and dont take risk ....
