Dude just go for AOC 24" viewing size is 23.6".

AOC 2434PW the best model and also available in many retail stores.

Im currently using this monitor, It has touch, crisp display,light,wall-mounted.

tech features:

Response Time = 2 ms Gray-to-Gray.

DCR = 60000:1

Total HDMI, comes with HDMI cable and port.

There is a cover to protect all the ports at the back.

More imp. is bcoz of my experience, Its been just 3 months I have bought this and trust me it's workin perfect.

Infact this model is the winner of Red-Dot Designer Award 2008!!

The budget is around 14K to 15K.

If u want more I can upload my LCD monitor pics!!

@N.Harish: Thanks for the suggestion bro, adding it to my short list

@Nemo: I am not running after LED, it's just that it is available in a few monitors and i think that having it would be a better idea than leaving it out.

Also I'm planning to use the new monitor for at least 3 years (current 17" CRT is about 6 years old :() so gotta buy smart, hence the thread.

Nobody here uses Samsung or LG monitors? strange....

This one is looking quite interesting - Samsung P2370

P.S: Guys, this thread is for discussing about monitors only and suggesting one to me :P don't pick silly fights.

Main Post updated. Added AOC and Samsung monitor to the short list.

err. what?.

Get the largest LCD with the max number of inputs possible.

Get the Benq 24" period. Stop running around LED. after few days with ur new led display u will realize that it doesnt do anything

special for you.

TBH... get a 32" for 25k if u can afford it, perfect for the next 3 years. 24" already a entry level nowadays.

@L33TWiZaRd - As you are planning to use this monitor for 3 years , are you considering 3d enabled ones ? I just came across Acer GD245HQ (only 24 inch 3d enabled hd monitor) and here are some of the reviews (not exceptional) below : [it should release within a month] :-

Reviews suggest that its not the best but still decent. I also want to buy a 24 inch monitor but I am not sure whether to wait for better 3d enabled ones or not !

Edit- its actually 23.5 inches but some websites refer to it as a 24 incher.

Which one are you using? Also which 32" are you talking about. model no. please :nerves:

I am using a benq e2200hd for abt a year now.. quiet happy with it. This year hope to move to 32"..

Check ebay mate... LOTS of models are there. I hear there is even a Panasonic model FULL HD one for under 30k..

I know its the double budget. but tbh thats future proof like nothing else.

If not the HD ready ones under 25k is also excellent... 1080i... it just depends on the type of resolution u want.

This is the 30k one..

try some local shops.. u may get one in grey for less... or ebay coupons.. but max is 1000. so effective price is 28.5k.

and i am not suggesting this.. but..

between this and the first 2 models...ofcourse the 32" is the winner

NO.

3D is still a novel concept that is coming into shelves. let it mature a bit. now jumping on it just for the sake of having it just stupid.

coz for the same price ull get something else in the LCD

@m-Jeri: You are views on the Dell monitors that i have short listed?

And 32" realistically speaking is not possible for me right now . Plus this is going to be couple of feet away from where i sit/sleep.

A different question. My current PC is quite old and has onboard GeForce 6150 graphics and 1GB ram. Will this be sufficient for normal usage on a Full HD monitor, no pc gaming.

The plain jane Dell LCD is just behind me... my colleague uses that. Its pretty normal so no issues.

I use the u2410 at office. Got one at home too. but its mostly my parents bedroom TV. :(. Thats the cherry of LCD's.

the SP2309.. i haven't seen one. so cant comment.

Pick one from Dell or Benq. once again. get the ones with MAX number of inputs. in that sense Benq will win.
