The Wolfy among us
Would avoid it like the plague. Windows 8 is nowhere near a good OS to use on a tablet. And marketplace is paltry compared to ios and android.

The Wolfy among us
And for a convertible? if you are getting full blown windows 8, and not RT, then go for it. Besides, whatever you can do in a windows 8 convertible, you can do with an android tablet with a keyboard dock. Transformer prime anyone?

ALPHA17
If I format and install a new window on my laptop, will it void my laptop's warranty? If it is not a legit copy, definitely, not so sure about what the policy is with a licensed copy of the software being installed. Best ask the customer care. dante77
Are you sure? Because I am talking about removing their genuine OS and installing mine. And pirated windows will void the warranty, right? If I install a genuine window, I am fine, right? and these laptop policies are so sucky I can't install VLC in it
The Wolfy among us
If I format and install a new window on my laptop, will it void my laptop's warranty? As long as you don't over clock your CPU or GPU, I think you're fine.

And pirated windows will void the warranty, right? If I install a genuine window, I am fine, right? and these laptop policies are so sucky I can't install VLC in it pfft! You can install and do whatever you want with software. My netbook came with Windows 7..I removed it and booted Windows 8.. Later had some issue and gave it for service under warranty, all went fine. They don't care what software you use..Just don't mess up with hardware. (unless you know what you are doing) Also, what you mean, you can't install VLC? What do you mean, cannot install VLC? Is it incompatible, how so?
