Before displaying the login screen, it went all black till a certain time(say X seconds), or till you move your mouse/press a key(say Y seconds before X, where Y<X/3). So if/when you go to the log-in screen after moving your mouse(in a black screen), you get the impression that it must have booted way earlier, and was just waiting for input from the user's side. Samsung prices their galaxy note 10.1 at 39k when it's a mid level tablet. I'd say surface comes in at 34-35k. Below 30k is impossible sadly. I'm somehow keen on the intel hybrids. A nice Lenovo Yoga 12" hybrid running win8 pro running tried and tested processors and got the full apps suite.. Not at all keen on arm and RT in its 1.0 avatar Yeah even i was looking to avoid it, i dont like the 1st gen products, but if its anything over 27K i am gonna decide between this and a Win Pho and if its anything greater than 29K then am gonna skip it completely. Agree with you on the other tablets pricing, they are far overpriced in the market esp when there is iPad 3 available for 30K. They have to be opened from the original program, or through the search feature. Any insights on this? Which dumb site told you this? The entire file structure is visible when saving a file from metro. When saving a file to you can choose where to save the files. But yeah there is no file explorer as such you use the original program. I'll have to search the store to see if any file explorer apps are available.
