Ne0
Ah, Win8 just doesn't work with a virtual box, slow as molasses From what I saw , it was good to look at, but slightly disorienting at first .... had to search around quite a bit to see where is the control panel lol
Solitaire
just bought win8. not particularly impressed with the buying experience. downloading an exe to check compatibility is one thing, but these guys stretched out the whole process within that 'client'. opening up a paypal page in a tiny 640x480 window to buy the software was silly. and then when that is over, it just starts downloading the os somewhere without telling you. (c:\eds hidden folder apparently). doesn't tell you the size (2.6gb) and in my case, was extremely slow (estimated 8 hours to download when it should be less than 2). why couldn't they put the iso on an http server like technet used to? it would be faster for me to download a pirated iso and then use my key on that. the order email luckily has a link to a win8 setup which i can use later so i stopped the download for now. the dvd will apparently be shipped from germany, not india so i can wait another few weeks for that. all in all, not a great buying experience. sounds petty but in making the buying process 'easy' they took all control out of the user's hands. it's almost an ominous euphemism for the entire os design. I can upload my ISO for you on dropbox if you want. Fully legal ISO btw. Do you want 32 or 64 bit? Ah, Win8 just doesn't work with a virtual box, slow as molasses From what I saw , it was good to look at, but slightly disorienting at first .... had to search around quite a bit to see where is the control panel lol I told someone else too several pages back. Don't put it on a VM, it just dissuades you from trying the actual product.

Death Stryke
Where the hell is Zee!! No comments I'm disappointed MS had no big reveals for WP8. Felt very low key compared to Win8 release. Everything was leaked anyway.
Man In The Box
I quite enjoyed the keynote. WP8 OS definitely looks gorgeous and way better than iOS or Android (in terms of visual appeal). If apps start coming in and the pricing is good, this could very well be the revolution. Zeehunter
I was out .. Just saw the keynote .. Everything was leaked prior Video of new features here - http://wmpoweruser.com/watch-the-all-new-windows-phone-8-featuresvideo/ Joe Belfiore Sales to start in Europe and Asia this weekend Nexus 4 is priced $300 while Lumia 920 won't be lower than $600 Good to see the 1st grade apps like Pandora and Instagram coming to WinPho There are many small changes not shown in keynote which are seen in SDK Many annoying things like multi tabbing in IE have been improved OS is now much more open like Android but has quality certification like iOS Store .. Micro SD storage , Bluetooth file transfer , mass storage (leaked via SDK) Those multiple sizes of live tiles make a lot of difference .. That IE logo gives nightmares .. I could finally make it smaller Total apps are 120,000 now .. Still nowhere near 700,000 apps on iPhone .. :| Hats off to MS for the seamless integration of Office , Skydrive , Xbox .. Death Stryke
For a Win 8 user, WP8 looks pretty decent i'd say. If u like the whole tiles paradigm, its a no brainer. Liking HTC's stuff way more than Nokia though. Also surprising how HTC phones are getting the spotlight now. WTF happened to Nokia? They should be leading WP8 front and center. Now it seems they've been relegated. Nokia doesn't have much air left to breathe. It better do something asap

Death Stryke
Dont expect L920 or HTC's top end WP8 phone to be any cheaper than 34-35k at start. Those phones pack some serious horsepower. So i dont think you will get better pricing compared to before

It may or may not be justifiable price, but it's certainly beyond my reach
