Ne0 Posted October 30, 2012 Report Share Posted October 30, 2012 alright upgraded to win8....the whole process was pretty damn smooth....took like 2 mins to d/l the new os, and another hour or so to install....and done, kept all my existing apps and settings intact .... Doesn't feel like a new OS, feels like a new shell over an existing win7 isntallation .... also, some apps like vlc run damn slow for some reason Any intro settings / apps / anything like that recommended to install ? That thing restarts the downloads more often than I restart my computer. I do have a key though. Anyone knows where I can find a clean ISO for Windows 8 Professional? Just tried downloading Windows 8 from that DreamSpark thing, and it wants me to download a .pkg file for that SDM, since I am on a non-Windows system(I'm on Linux). Who the f**k told them that anyone who isn't using Windows must be using Mac, since that .pkg file can be run from a Mac only? I may have to open my Win 8 Release Preview just to download the OS.
