Lol .. Really

Even Apple tried their best in getting iPhone 5 before Diwali

They are launching phones in European countries first because WinPho has the maximum marketshare there

Italy has 11% .. Germany , France , Britain around 6%

Just upgraded from Win 7 to Win 8 Pro. Took nearly 30 mins to upgrade (60GB of data). Startup, shutdown times are similar to Win 7 for me. TBH, don't see a reason to upgrade unless you've those fancy trackpads/mice to make use of the corners/gestures. And I don't see myself using the Metro a lot. :|

Anyway, link for legit MS downloads (you'll need a key though): http://dl.msdnaa.undipcyber.us/software/

Thats surprising. coz after the installation it feels like my notebook got a SSD :P , the start up time improved significantly. Now i don't even get significant shutdown time.

if you just did an upgrade your windows 7 desktop remains intact and available as one of the tiles on win8 start screen .... i don't think you need to boot into win7.

Even i dont see much performance diff, only diff i notice is that startup screen and that extra huge fonts everywhere on that screen, its so annoying to use all those apps on a desktop screen .... so, i just boot up and go straight to the win7 desktop tile. But some apps are damn fast like Visual studio express .... and I like some apps like mail and photo gallery, the interface is excellent .... and even the integration with social media is handled nicely ....

Actually social integration is better in Windows phone 7 than Windows 8 .. :P

Integrated Facebook shows more info on WinPho than Windows 8 RP unless MS changed it in Windows 8 final version

The mail app on WinPho is top notch

In Windows 8 it displays photo albums for each of your fb contacts, it shows all status updates, and it shows notifications. What more was there in WP7?

Well, my primary drive is an SSD, which was previously running Win 7 and now Win 8, and there's absolutely no difference in startup and shutdown. If anything, Win 8 seems more laggy. :|

Yeah. Not using Metro at all. And if we're using the Desktop mode for everything, why not just switch to Win 7.

The upgrade assistant says ' keep personal files ' option only

I will have to re install apps coz I am using Windows 8 RP :panic:

Dafuq hopeless MS ..

No upgrade from RP. MS has said this several times.

For those loving tiles, NeoGAF has an awesome thread for customizing them.
