There are plenty of other games for that which do off road much better too. I enjoyed MS1 due to the spectacular crashes. It was completely bare bones but it looked awesome all the time. The crashes made it so much fun to play. That's why the catch-up mechanic is extremely strong in MS games too. And if the point is to avoid them, then Apocalypse gets a giant 'f**ked it up'. I have 3D Rift atm , same as Pacific Rift w/o online and festival mode , 10 tracks with 2 lap races out of the 16 default tracks from the full game , got it for just 5$ in Jan sale. I'm not saying you ram your vehicle whenever you get the chance, but if you do crash, which let's say would be once a lap or even a race, it should look & feel pretty damn awesome.
