it is a wireless router, right?

then I guess the following should work.

laptop: (connected using LAN)

static IP:

IP: 192.168.140.2

mask: 255.255.255.0

DNS server: <router IP: 192.168.140.1>

PS3:

static IP:

IP: 192.168.140.3

mask 255.255.255.0

mask: 255.255.255.0

DNS server: 192.168.140.2

proxy server: 192.168.140.2:8080

PS3 proxy: use the IP: 192.168.140.2

if it is the wired bsnl router only; then I hope you are having Win7, then you can create a virtual AP, and create a network.

So, the wired network communicates with BSNL router, and virtual AP used to communicate the Win7 wifi and PS3 wifi.

I hope this works.

<I think I am missing something here!!!>

:wallbash: sorry, conveniently forgot that your router has single USB and LAN port.

Connect your wired network to internet.

Maybe some utility like Connectify on Win7 can help you out.

Start Connectify & enable the AP mode.

Connect the PS3 to the virtual hotspot.

I hope that the PS3 should be now connected to the internet.

note: Connectify may need a computer restart to the enable the AP mode.

Sometimes, the problem is that AP mode in Connectify is supported by some known brands of network cards - documented somewhere!!

So, if the AP mode is not started, then create the ad-hoc mode.

And though I havent tried connecting PS3 using ad-hoc, the following links says it will.

Let us know.

buy a BEETEL 440 TC1 modem from EBAY. The ones that AIRTEL provides. It is an WIRELESS MODEM CUM ROUTER which i have tested and also it is cheap as compared to other companies whose these kind of products start from 2.5K range >.<
