achilles
er.. so if i switch it on now.. the themes, other stuff mite get corrupted, possibly warranting a re-download. that's confirmed rite? mm.. it's better to wait then if i'm not sure if my ps3 has already succumbed to these 'symptoms' though i was online at 7 in the morning and did face the trophy sync error. still i wasn't booted off PSN then. this sh*t is confusing. would switch it on tmrw only now. VelivolusDas
The things that are affected for me are the themes and trophies......... (I don't have any full PSN games) I think only non-trophy supporting games can be played......... All the games that support trophies will get the error in the beginning and the game will quit and the trophies will disappear from the "Trophy Collection" menu........ (doesn't matter if you're online or offline) Coz I am not able to play FIFA 10 because of the error........ But FIFA 08 is working flawlessly......... And another thing that I noticed is that when I started my PS3 for the first time after knowing of this problem, the system date was shown as 1/1/2000....... I changed it back to today's date though........ And still it wasn't working....... Did anybody else get this......?????

Shantz
If the problem is something related to the PS3 and not PSN, how is it going to get fixed for those who do not have a PSN account due to the lack of an internet connection or whatever reason? PS3 firmware USB drives.. ebay opportunity This is not true, IMO it has nothing to do with dates. If you are thinking by "4th year-leap year" logic, 2008 was a leap year it should have got screwed on 29th Feb 2008. According to them the issue is because the clock thinks it's a leap year but it is actually not so there is a conflict between the real time clock driver and the front end clock/calendar program. 2008 was indeed a leap year, so the issue didn't arise at that time.
