That's the problem. PS3 is working but can't play games. its not bricked. btw and don't turn on PS3 cos it may result in data loss i.e. save games, themes and games downloaded from PSN etc.

It's actually a hope that things get fine in a few hour. No one knows for sure.

Done. I took the chance and saw it go up and then i synched my trophies and played one round of SF4. Turned it off and now im updating my work copy with some Visual Studio stuff. If it fails post what I did I take no responsibilities just write to Sony and watch your mail bounce off the mail server because its probably overloaded at this point lol

Are you a PS3 game dev? :O

Don't trust non-official APOCALYPS3 info, Sony warns

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has been using Twitter to keep PS3 owners up to date with the latest information regarding a global bug which is making original 'fat' PS3 consoles unable to play games and access the PlayStation Network.

"Rest assured, we've many people working on fixing this issue. As soon as we have some news, we'll let you know," tweeted the official Twitter Account for PlayStation.Blog.Europe.

"Please don't trust info regarding this issue unless from an official Sony source. On Twitter this means @PlayStationEU and @SonyPlayStation.

"We will be updating you the second we have some news."

Earlier today Sony issued this statement:

"We are aware that some users are experiencing error code 8001050F and a network connection failure when signing on to PlayStation Network. Those of you with the newer, “slim” PS3s (120GB/250GB) seem to be unaffected.

"We are currently working to restore service as a matter of priority and will update with further information as necessary. We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and continued support."
