Boderlands Problem

Ok so i have level 31 Soldier in boderlands on xbox360 .. Now i had not used mu skill points from level 27 onwards as i though i would use a bunch of em in one shot .. So finally i decided to do so on lvl 31 .. Before doing it i though i would reset my skill set Tree so as to give all 31 points in a more appropiate manner .. So i finally purchased a reset but it took away those 4 points that i hadnt used .. So now i am on lvl 31 with just 27 skill points .. The game was saved automatically and hence i wasnt able to revert it to its previous state .. So my questions

 

1) Does anyone knw any solution to get back all the 31 skill points.

2) How imp are these skill points in the future(to finish the game i.e.)

 

I have already tried to reset again but it resets only those points that have already been used
