avkash Posted March 29, 2012 Report Share Posted March 29, 2012 Rom-Orion, awesome fun yesterday night, it was incredible almost no combos, random ultras (Rom), wake up Ultras (Orion), no Ultras (me ) as expected Rom used almost no combos, except the random ones that just click, Orion played solid defensive Guile (though touch offensive against the noob Akuma of mine, overall he was the best player last night) and me, well I was like myself, at times getting perfect jump in roundhouse-cr lp cr lp cr lk headbutt ultra, at others failing to get even correct jab to rush punch the lag though was immense, could not tech even a single throw, that when I knew that Orion was definitely gonna throw me rom you're the one with the red bars, actually no bars, me and Orion had yellow, so did the new guy. and just to admit, rom trolled us with his SPD, though he has improved tons, man Gief is THE troll Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Last night i could see that u guys were lagging ... Is it because u guys have the Arcade Edition downloaded ? Now i have 2 copies SSF IV normal Edition & SSF IV the arcade edition ! I usually stick with Gief's lp,lp,lp,gh, gh-buffered spd, & pokes with gief & adon mk mixup(I was doing rising jagura early as my link timing was off) >.< Not my fault you guys weren't doing anything to punish/escape whiffs, though I guess I was doing some extra spds, Anyways I won so all cool /kidding I do admit that I wasn't playing decent adon, I have shifted my focus to gief & dhalsim these days, more so at gief. And yeah, the lag almost made some matches unplayable. The screen literally froze for like 4-5 seconds at a time. But I guess that only happened against rom and not av. GUILE WAS REALLY AWESOME LAST NIGHT !! Man Whatta player thanks man but like Av said, we're all pretty rusty atm. I couldn't focus cancel my sweeps nor my flash kicks. Then try again. You can even try to find matches using the Battle Request feature. Go to arcade mode and turn on the fight request. I find matches pretty easily that way. What's wrong ? this is your problem right here, quick search will search only in your region, should be India by default if you have an indian ID go to custom and set all the parameters to any and you will finds lots of players from all over the world. The problem with SSF4 is that MANY people in other countries who host games set the Region to "Same" , so since you have indian PSN id you cant join or see them.... After setting all the parameters to any and turning the battle request feature on , i can find ranked matches online.. i lag in around 2 matches outa 5 but otherwise everything's working pretty fine ! And shadoken ..Yeah i have a U.S account and thr's a terrible lag if i enter an endless battle !! However , I really wanted to earn the trophies for this title on my primary id.. Its a prestigious title and i'd love to show off But damn the connection Will see how the experience goes till sunday & then think about making another id ... I'm in love with the game though How about if i get my data speeds increased to 4 Mbps ? Would that help to kill the lag ? BTW , was trying the trial mode for ryu yesterday and cun't get past level 13 .. Checked on youtube & people were doing it like a child's play on their arcade sticks !! The latency will always remain the same , its the not the amount of data that is the problem but how fast it reaches ..... We will always lag with US/EU ppl...
