guys its me vs the japanese claw player catk.

for spending around a couple of weeks to get chiku to make catk play me(who has been pretty busy recently!),it has sort of ended in an anticlimax.what originally was planned to be an ft10 was reduced to a single match because of the lag we where facing.just take this match with a barrel of salt, the input lag hampered with both of our execution a lot.

and also, please do not judge him from this video.he wasnt even trying and just stuck to the basic stuff.after all,he taught me everything i know about vega.

Japan National SF4 tourney results ~

1st: Momochi (Akuma), RF (Sagat), Kindevu (Rufus)

2nd: MDR (Rufus), Pamyu (Balrog), Hisshou (Sagat)

3rd: Mago (Sagat), Tokido (Akuma), Akimo (E. Honda)

4th: Eita (Akuma), Maeda Taison (Balrog), Rikuson (Sagat)

Vids of matches here.

These are the best of the best in action. Daigo's team not placing in the top 4 should give you some idea.

Edit : Also, love how its all akuma, sagat, rog and rufus  Major props to Akimo

quick question: Is the tournament edition arcade stick by MAdcatz REALLY better than the normal one by the same manufacture ?

If Yes then how ?

I am getting the SF4 normal arcade stick at $39.99 at Amazon and the tournament edition at $99. I just wish to know a reason to justify spending a lot of extra dollars for almost the same if not the same thing.

PS: Stupid question: All this sh*t, assuming that the SF4 stick will of course work for SSF4. it will, right ???

Yeah it's better in quite a few ways. The body shape of the TE is slick, it's way thinner than the SE, very convenient to keep on the lap and it gives a stable feeling. The TE comes with Sanwa buttons and joystick while the SE doesn't, Non-sanwa or seimetsu buttons feel pastic-y and turn to sh*t in a few months of use. You could however change the joystick and buttons in the SE to sanwa, which shouldn't be hard, but thats gonna cost nearly 50$. And yeah it's definitely gonna work with ssf4 and any other fighting game.

Super Street Fighter IV Won't Ever Become Hyper or Ultra

Capcom won't be milking the Street Fighter IV franchise any further.

Were you worried that Capcom would eventually be turning Street Fighter IV into Ultra Hyper Super Street Fighter IV Turbo: Platinum Champions - Akuma Friends Edition after the release of Super Street Figher IV at the end of April? It's not going to happen, says producer Yoshinori Ono.

Speaking to OXM (via CVG), Ono said: "I have no intention of carrying on Street Fighter IV into Hyper Street Fighter IV or Ultra Street Fighter IV, because I'm aware of the mistakes Capcom has made in the past." For reference, after the release of Street Fighter II in 1991, Capcom went on to release a Champion Edition, Hyper Edition, Super Street Fighter II which introduced new characters, Super Street Fighter II Turbo, and Hyper Street Fighter II amongst other versions across various platforms arcade, handheld, and console. It was a little much, but most versions did add notable improvements in Capcom's defense.

Street Fighter IV came out in February 2009, and a little over a year later we'll see a new retail version in the $40 Super Street Fighter IV that will also add a bunch of characters and features. Ono admits that Capcom plans to do more with the Street Fighter franchise, but that "in terms of Street Fighter IV, this is definitive... Super Street Fighter IV should be the distinctive end."

DLC is always still a possibility for the future of Super Street Fighter IV to tune the game's balance, but Ono believes "as a packaged product ... this is the last." I think I'm a little disappointed, because I was looking forward to seeing the creative naming conventions that Capcom may have come up with. May they live on through DLC.

I beg to differ

Capcom doesn't need to come up with new titles for every updates...They can always have the update as a DLC if making the game perfect is the intention.

there is nothing to laugh about,if you're the kind of person who expects the game to be tweaked and tuned to perfection, then this is a really really sad news.

if you know about the kind of time, dedication, money and testing it takes to make major changes to the hitbox, frame data and other such properties(for which all of the character interactions is taken into consideration),then you'd know that they could NEVER do it through a patch.i mean, not to the extent that they are supposed to.

if they had decided to only patch a game like the original street fighter 3,then we couldve never seen the master piece of a 2d fighter that is 3rd strike, just a version of street fighter 3 which wouldve been marginally better than the original.they would simply lack the motivation to trade all of their extensive hard work for a free dlc,and so rest assured that their efforts would be half assed.
