dylanjosh Posted July 4, 2011 Report Share Posted July 4, 2011 Just finished the SP. Pretty nice. I'm not gaga over it though. It was pretty short. Finished it in 2 days. The dialogues and characters were simply outstanding. Loved Wheatley. Cave Johnson was kinda okay. IMO they should've kept it just Glados and Wheatley. Other than that, everything else was quite ordinary. Nothing bad, just.. ordinary. Don't know how to describe it. Nothing made me go WOW or made my jaw drop (except for a 3 second thing very late in the game). Overall I found the original Portal a more satisfying experience. There was novelty and charm. Overall, the game is a bit of a downer for me, may be because I expected too much from it, coz of the hype. The thing is, even though the game presented a lot of newer features, there was not one thing that was a giant leap forward from the first game.And frankly, the puzzles were mediocre in quality, at best. Portal 1 was a great game. This just lives in it's shadow. I haven't started the co-op campaign yet; expecting it to make feel better In any case, IMO, this is not GOTY material. It's taken me 11 levels to figure out how to navigate through the space and travel with the cubes and the gun.
