how do i chk if its new or refurb?

Open the faceplate of the console

if it has a shiny microsoft sticker, it is a new one.(see the pic)

if it has a sticker like this it is repaired one (old one)

but works absolutely fine

thats the point.

in how many days did you get your x360 replaced??

in sum 10 days or something they will give a confirmation call to ask whether it is working fine or not.

just hold the small round clicky button near the left bumper of your joystick and simultaneously hold the same type of button beside the Memory Unit B of the console for abt 5 secs n the leave both the buttons & then the console will search for your joystick & link up :P;)

try this...a few people have got their 360s replaced this way....just call xbox customer support and tell them uve got an RROD.....they'll send over a replacement and the guy who brings you the new console will take the old one without checking it

dude u are letting the secrets out, if most of the ppl start doing this MS will come to knw abt it and rectify thier error........its good to help GI members but its better tht u PM the "smart" solution directly to the member rather than discussing it in the forum.......

Ive merged every thread in the techzone related to disc drive problems with the 360, please do not open new threads discussing the dvd drive problems now.

Thanks.

try this, but the video is crappy. it is a fix for jamming drives.

The above video works perfectly for me...Thank you..

To anyone who has jamming disc trays..This does not require you to remove the faceplate and poke around in the hole with a pin... :( This is a very easy fix..took me 5 mins
