Will try using the same GTA 4 disc again this weekend to see if it reads. Have been playing with the same disc with no problems till now . Have played for like 8 hours . Wondering if i can take the risk of keeping it. Nemo Posted June 21, 2008 Report Share Posted June 21, 2008 hi.. so.. i hav a modded console.. got rrrod.. got it repaird in palika abt 3 1/2 months ago.. worked fine till yesterday when i decided to hav a marathon gaming session.. disaster struk.. the damned thing wont acknowledge any cd..!! The dashboard is working fine.. but when i insert the cd it says 'reading' and then 'open tray' option is flashed again.. game doesnt start.. nor does the 360 shows the name of the game. There is no message stating 'DISC READ ERROR" as it used to happen in ps2.. I hav no history of any cracked discks or weird noises coming frm the console.. everything is working fine xcept the game wont start.. so what is happining..??? a ghost..?? DarthVader Posted July 4, 2008 Report Share Posted July 4, 2008 I was playing battlefield n suddenly my drive started makin grinding noises and the tray ejected itself.the disk has no scratches at all but now my tray keeps electing all the time .help.console is under warranty and is unmodded.
