HOglegtrausavo
Nopes I strongly suggest that you try the rubber method posted on a previous page.It won't void your warranty and it does solve the problem. Now,If it doesn't and you still see it giving you some problems then, send it ASAP because then it might be some other problem. Bulovski
Folks had a new issue yesterday. I put in a slightly scratched disc and the console showed the message "Please insert this disc in a Xbox 360 console" - white background, grey text, and 6 languages! Also, the dashboard does not recognize the game and the tray text says "Play DVD". Other games are working fine now. Has anyone had this issue? Anyone fixed it? I searched around other forums and no satisfactory answer. The 360 is still under warranty.

From my personal exp - it started for me with YSIC 07, used to happen once in a while later with other games, then the frequency increased, finally it wasn't unable to read any game disc ! After some more days, the x360 RROD'd and I had to get it replaced !
Tyler
It used to happen a lot with my Gears disc. However, it always worked when I cleaned the disc surface and turned the console off for 10-15 mins. But like Ne0 said, it can also be a sign of the disc drive dying. CarbonCore
Has anyone had this issue? Anyone fixed it? I searched around other forums and no satisfactory answer. The 360 is still under warranty. Do a soft reset, just flick the HD switch on the cable to SD and back to HD and it'll reset to dashboard. Most of the times the display will change from "Play DVD" to "Play Game".
Bulovski
Don't have a switch like that. I am using a Dragon VGA cable. Any other ways?
Ne0
^^ Is it coming only for one particular game or all the games ? How frequently is the problem happening ?
CarbonCore
Don't have a switch like that. I am using a Dragon VGA cable. Any other ways? Remove the hard drive and fit it back while the console is running, that'll also trigger soft reset.
ctrl_alt_del
Also, sometimes keeping the console in an upright position or vice-vesa (if it's already upright) can solve the problem. Sometimes, I simply eject, take out the disc and keep it back again in the tray and it spins up properly.
Bulovski
It's happened only for one game tilll now. Let me try the above steps...
