ram87 Posted September 7, 2008 Report Share Posted September 7, 2008 Hi guys i have a problem with my 360. first of all i have got the rrod. Apart from that i have the disc tray problem too. My tray just keeps popping oout and not read any discs at all(even when it didnt rrod). I have modded my console(I regret it now). Are there any easy fixes to this disc tray problem? HIM Posted September 7, 2008 Report Share Posted September 7, 2008 someone plz help me !!! i have RROD today 1st .... mine is modedd so i opened up my console !!!sometimes it will show rrod and sometimes over heating ( 2 lights) !!! i was so pissed off that i threw the drive on my bed ( not literally threw it).. in the evening i come back .. tadaaaaa xbox 360 working fine .. but drive nt working !!! the center lite just keeps blinking !!!when i click on open drive it just sticks to opening !!! also i then opened up my drive . Its a TS h943 ms28 drive . i opened up it covers and saw that whenever i turn Xbox 360 on .. tehre is a littel movement in the lens .. very littel .....it just goes back and comes front .. n i mean very very very very littel !!!! someone plz tell me wt to do .. !!! or may b where can i get it corrected !!!! thnx in advance !!!! My console is more than 2 years old and it's seen a fair amount of use. I have seen a dozen videos on youtube explaining the magnet issue and I'll be trying that and a few others but I still have some questions. Why does this happen only some games? Especially the newer ones, the older ones play absolutely without and problems. Also where can I get a replacement drive and for how much? Normally an orignal lens and installation could cost upto 3k in Mumbai but not sure about Chandigarh... i believe your best bet would be Palika in New Delhi to fix this issue im sure Delhi members could guide you where to take your console for this problem... Somebody Posted October 4, 2008 Report Share Posted October 4, 2008 Ten Little Xbox 360 Sitting in Their Graves... and Counting That's right, after a particularly good run I've had another Xbox 360 die on me. This time a debug unit. While the instances of Xbox 360 red rings have certainly dropped, I do still hear stories about the console's DVD player giving up the ghost. That's what happened to me in July last year when my last 360 died and that seems to be the case this time around. I was playing the end of LEGO Batman The Videogame when the game paused and a "dirty disc" error popped up on the screen. A few more runs at playing the game allowed me to get a few minutes in before the console crapped out on me again. Just last month my brother had his Xbox 360's DVD drive die on him as well. He recently went out and purchased a replacement Xbox 360 Arcade. For those keeping track I've now had a total of ten Xbox 360s die on me since the launch of the console. (That's counting debug units and retail consoles). Of those eight died with a Red Ring error and two died with perpetual dirty disc errors.
