ЯeVeЯse Posted November 30, 2007 Report Share Posted November 30, 2007 A customer sales representative called today, and they said a courier guy will come with a new 360 in two days, check if my console has been tampered with and if not, leave the new 360 and take back the defective 360. Woohoo! On a side note, I'm having problems with playing CoD4 on XBL. Everytime I search for a match, it goes into a black screen ie the screen before the loading screen, and then it crashes out, throwing up an error message saying 'can't join game' or something like that. MAK Posted December 26, 2007 Report Share Posted December 26, 2007 got a call from reddington today for replacing my console and they are sending someone by tomorrow evening.. i had called Xbox helpline on monday morning and i must say they are fast... my 360's problem was it was reading game disc like a dvd which i guess is a lens problem... I gave it to this guy at Musafir Khana (Mumbai), who had fixed a friend's console's similar problem. wackoid Posted February 2, 2008 Report Share Posted February 2, 2008 Right, I called up Xbox customer support. A guy with a weird accent was at the customer care, and I told him about my woes. He then told me to unplug everything, replug the console in and try again. I did. Still no luck. Then he told me to try after removing the hard drive. I did it and it worked just fine. Then he told me to delete the game saves on my hard disk, and try again after reconnect it, and if the problem persisted, he told me to call again and mention a reference number that he gave me - in case the problem persisted, which it did. I'm calling them again tomorrow morning. Hi all, Just joined the forum and have the same problem - GoW started giving "disc unreadable" sometime in Act 3, always at the same place, works perfect till that moment. What's up with this game!!! Other games like Crackdown, FIFA 08 (tho finding it difficult to master), Full Auto work perfectly (at least for now). To further compound the issue, my console is US one. Called up MS customer support who gave me the same spiel about unplugging the hdd and try playing the game which I did and of course it works but that means starting from the top again. Not sure what to do - reading the posts above, seems its just a matter of time before it "spreads" to the other games and I just pre-ordered Soul Calibur IV :-(. Any thoughts would be helpful here. Supp. like a week ago n dey say dat "rite nw v dont hav an Elite in stock. vll prolly get 1 by d end of dis week thoh i wont b able 2 guarantee dat" wtf?! m so angry... d 360 put like a million scratches on my Halo 3 disc! It shows "Play DVD" in the tray icon instead of playing the game! I now have two brand new GOW discs right out of the box and both of them DON'T WORK!!
