karanc666
Hello guys, I've been kinda away from Xbox 360 scene , I have a few questions about it:- 1) If I buy one, which version is the best to get? 2) Is the RROD still there?(that is what always stopped me from buying it) - or any other major hardware problem? 3) What would be a good grey market price for it(Arcade and Elite)? ( and which one should I get, the seller in palika gave me a price of Rs. 12,500 for PAL Modded and Rs.14,500 for NTSC modded and he said that NTSC is better) 4) Will I be able to play online with a modded Xbox 360? 5) If I buy a modded (import) 360, will the Xbox Live Gold (INDIAN) Subscription card work for it? 6) Do I need to purchase any additional items for playing online? (Keep in mind I already have a PS3 and I'm willing to buy a 360 ONLY so that i can buy *cheap* games, I will keep buying the PS3 exclusives in original though ) Any other additional important information about 360 is welcome, Thanks in advance

shockwave
1,The newest arcade (with falcon or jasper chips). 2.No .. while I am still on the old chip .. I heard the new falcon or the newest jasper don't cause RROD. 3.India is a PAL region so it would be better if you go with the PAL machine. Most of the stores carry PAL games only, so finding NTSC games would be a bit tough. 4.You should be able to, but you are mostly likely going to be banned if you are running a pirated game. (rightly so) 5.Not necessarily. I think it depends on the region. If the console is PAL, it might work, but I am not sure 6.Nope. (Keep in mind I already have a PS3 and I'm willing to buy a 360 ONLY so that i can buy *cheap* games, I will keep buying the PS3 exclusives in original though ) If I understand the hidden meaning behind the word "cheap" then it's a shame how proudly you're saying this. As if you are doing gaming industry a favor. I don't know how such posts (or even inferences) are allowed.

Thats piracy too. It's not that I am gonna go completely for pirated games, I do have a large amount of original Ps3 and DS games. You are talking about these posts being allowed or not but I saw a few 360 modding threads here, what about those? It's time to stop the hypocrisy. Thanks for answering what I asked though , looking for a few more people to give me answers in details please Oh and hi playstation_india how you been man PM me ur yahoo or msn xD
Bulovski
Stop the piracy talk - don't bother justifying by pointing out modding and other people do it.

L33TWiZaRd
Stay clear of Palika if you want a console with warranty. You can always buy a console of one of the vendors here and then get it modded by one of the modders in IVG. Cheers
