EA copies Ubisoft DRM, needs a kick is the ass

Recommended Posts

EA has confirmed that Command and Conquer 4 will require you to be connected to the internet in order to play the game! Amazingly a forum moderator claims the game actually has no 'DRM' and as expected there is quite a backlash to this announcement at

Didn't EA learn anything from Ubisoft?

This "news" is like a year old. Actually this was announced way before the Ubi thing came into play so if anything Ubi copied this. And they already said C&C was the only game that was gonna use it. And I am pretty sure it also has an offline mode.

But hey, dont let that stop you all from over reacting. :(

Its got pretty comprehensive stats tracking. And I am guessing its heavy on the MP side rather than the SP side.

I havent been keeping track of this since then anyway. Lost interest in this series long time ago.

U mean a limited bandwidth?

Nope..reliance netconnect broadband.the 3.1mbps one with night unlimited plan.

Charges for Day usage are 30 bucks per hr.so i'll skip this one.

@sam i think it requires you to be always online no matter what.it isn't just for the stats update.

The game has a short sp mode with a stupid story and mp is average but good enough for CnC phan.
