winny29
I think the move is regressive for countries where Internet is still not in the roti, kapda aur makaan category and where gaming is just coming up.
DinJo
This move would only fail when crackers start cracking games easily. Not otherwise.

memnom
I dont AC II is cracked as of now. Even if it is, the DRM has done its job of making the game ZeroDay Safe. That is all they are really intended to do. Â But it WILL be cracked no matter none. If its a piece of code it is crackable. Not that im not supporting piracy but its bound to happen. Bulovski
Must say that Ubi's strategy worked for once. If they can ensure that cracks don't appear for a couple of weeks that's it. The acid test will be Splinter Cell which is releasing on both PC and 360. If PC sales are also high then I guess other companies will follow
ctrl_alt_del
Ubi's earlier strategy with Starforce worked too. Chaos Theory remained un-cracked for quite a long time. That did could not prevent Ubi from having to drop Starforce as a DRM.
Bulovski
starforce had a rootkit iirc. this is very different since they are not touching anything else.
ctrl_alt_del
I know...what I am saying is that they just might have to ditch this even though it works only because the gamers decide to boycott the games with such DRM.
