I.W started their career with a military shooter.....and they will cont.....to make solid military shooters Respawn will create a better game than Black-ops iam sure..lol....it won't sell bazillion copies like COD but it will be a better game Bungie will create another Halo type sci-fi shooting game, becoz they are good in creating in sc-fi shooters only... One more thing, iam sure BO will be a good game (as its MW 2 add-on) & i will buy it, but i don't like when people rate Treyarch higher than I.W... .. spindoctor Posted October 30, 2010 Report Share Posted October 30, 2010 time to jump in? yea the folks at 2015/iw made 2 entire sub-genres of shooters popular. first with mohaa and cod1, they steered the market into making ww2 shooters for the next half decade purely based on how successful and good they were. they basically revitalized something that had gone dormant since wolf in 1990. mp was all quake and doom and unreal and the counter strike until cod came around. and then again in 2007 they made the modern military fps the go-to genre that everyone is now copying (hello medal of fail 2010). they created medal of honor and call of duty (and then modern warfare) from nothing and made them into household names. what has treyarch done since then? they've been riding on the coattails of infinity ward's success since the beginning. copy pasted cod4 mp into waw, probably going to do the same for black ops. their claim to fame is the 'zombie mode' in waw that had been done (and better) by other games and mods? this time around it's 'wager match' where they have again pilfered entire community mods and put them into their game. yea, treyarch... are and will remain, 'the other call of duty developer.' Refused to support it with anything other than shitty map packs. Refused to fix the problems the community wanted them to fix.
