Even TATA Indicom has imposed the FUP. Apparently I have a 110 GB download limit on my "unlimited" 1.5 Mb/s connection. I got a call from them this month telling me I had exceeded my limit by 70 GB :panic:

peace

:(

No Pride for you! It's the reason I got a warning call from TATA and you defend them :ranting:

peace

They called me twice and warned me last year for crossing 85% of my limit :P I told em to f**k off and changed to airtel

Ever since they've been calling me asking me to consider taking up some plan of theirs..

I'm right now on an Airtel 1mbps "Unlimited" connection. Under some offer, I took the Airtel connection using the name that my BSNL phone line is registered under. I have to pay for the 512kbps Swift plan but I get twice the speed with an FUP limit somewhere around 80-100 GB. The offer expires after the first 6 months and then I go back to 512kbps.

no use of 50 MBPS with the download limit.

A pretty satisfied with my 2MBPS unlimited plan with Beamcable. that too for 1000 bucks.

BTW .. What does FUP stand for ?

^^ all Airtel unlimited plans have this FUP crap afaik.. there is a FUP data limit on each unlimited plan, once you cross that limit your DL speed will drop, like in those new 4mbps plans if you cross the FUP limit then your speed will drop to 256kbps.

MTNL UL plans are true UL plans though.. :naughty:
